truxedo tonneau cover

We are proud to be an authorized online retailer of Truxedo Tonneau Covers; which is America’s top selling line of tonneau covers. They truly are the highest quality and most durable line of tonneau covers on the market today. They have proven to be the most useful tonneau cover that will allow you to easily load and protect your items from the weather, while being a great theft deterrent. Here below are many FAQ’s in regards to this great product:

Q. How do I care for my vinyl tonneau cover?
A. The vinyl fabric on your tonneau cover can be cleaned with mild soap and water, and may be hand washed or safely cleaned in the car wash of your choice. Thoroughly rinse cover to remove any soap residue. Vinyl cover can be treated with any vinyl protectants made for tonneau covers. Never clean cover with petroleum or citrus-based products, and avoid silicone based protectants. We now offer Pro-TeX™ soft tonneau protectant spray to clean, preserve and protect your soft tonneau.

Q. How do I adjust the tension on my tonneau cover?
A. The TruXedo® Lo Pro QT tonneau cover has automatic tension control. There are two spring loaded steel plungers at the front of the bed that maintain constant tension on the front header, allowing the cover to stay tight in any weather. Initially, you need to set the tension. This should be done during the warmest part of the day by closing the cover, releasing the Velcro® brand fasteners from both sides near the cab, and checking compression of the spring plungers against the front header. Roll cover open to make adjustments. Repeat until satisfactory tension is achieved. Refer to the TruXedo® Lo Pro QT Owners Manual for more specific information.

Q. Will the TruXedo® Lo Pro work with my other truck accessories?
A. Yes! The unique inside mount design of the TruXedo® Lo Pro rails enables you to accessorize with most bed rails, bed liners, and rail caps.

Q. Can I lock the TruXedo® Lo Pro?
A. The TruXedo® Lo Pro secures automatically when latched at the rear, and provides added security when used with a locking tailgate. It can not be opened until the tailgate is unlocked and opened. There are no additional locks or sliding mechanisms needed to lock the cover.

Q. Will the TruXedo® Lo Pro work in the winter as well as in the summer?
A. The tonneau cover fabric will not shrink in cold temperatures, to –40 degrees F. Patented automatic tension control system keeps the cover tight whether it is 40 degrees below or 120 degrees above. Sliding Velcro® brand hook on the side rail works with the automatic tension control plungers to keep the cover tight – even when it’s closed!

Q. Will the TruXedo® Lo Pro work with a 5th wheel?
A. Yes! Simply roll the cover all the way open and secure with security straps at the front of the bed. This allows you full access to your 5th wheel.

Q. Can I still open my tailgate with the TruXedo® Lo Pro on my truck?
A. Yes – the TruXedo® Lo Pro does not restrict the tailgate. The rear header functions independently of the tailgate so there is nothing to remove when opening the tailgate.

Q. Does the TruXedo® Lo Pro come in different colors?
A. The TruXedo® Lo Pro is available in five popular colors including Black, Navy Blue, Buckskin, Charcoal Grey and Light Grey. An additional charge may apply for colored covers.

Q. I have a bed extender. Will the TruXedo® Lo Pro work with it?
A. The TruXedo® Lo Pro side rails extend 3” into the bed on each side. In order to use the bed extender, it must not come within 3” of the side of the bed when rotated, or it must be able to detach from the truck, be manually rotated and re-attached. An adaptor kit is available to be purchased separately for 05-07 Nissan Frontiers and Nissan Titans with utili-trac systems. Please contact us for more information.

Q. I have a truck with a utility track system in the bed. Can I still use a TruXedo® Lo Pro?
A. Many of the late-model trucks have a utility track system to make the truck bed more accessory and user-friendly. We research all of the new trucks to make sure we have the best hardware to attach the TruXedo® Lo Pro to the truck. The hardware kits for these beds include modified clamps that will work with the various utility track systems. If you have questions on specific models, please contact Truxedo customer service at 1-877-878-9336.

Q. I live in a region that is very hot. Will the TruXedo® Lo Pro fabric fade in the sun?
A. The fabric used in the TruXedo® Lo Pro is very high quality and has been tested in extreme conditions. It is UV-protected and will not fade in the sun.

Q. I live in a region that gets a lot of heavy snow. Can the TruXedo® Lo Pro hold the snow without bending or stretching?
A. The fabric used in the Truxedo Lo Pro is very high quality and has been tested in extreme conditions. It can hold up to 250 pounds evenly distributed without stretching the fabric.

Q. I would like to install the TruXedo® Lo Pro myself. How long will it take to install it myself?
A. Typically, the TruXedo® Lo Pro can be installed easily in minutes!

Q. Where can I order replacement parts for my TruXedo Lo Pro?
A. Only replacement part orders can go directly through TruXedo by calling 1-877-878-9336.

Q. Will I be able to open my Honda Ridgeline trunk if I have a TruXedo Lo Pro tonneau cover?
A. Yes. Your trunk is fully functional and will open approximately 85% of the way.

Q. Will the Lo Pro work with a drop in bed liner that goes over the bed rails?
A. Yes, a Lo Pro QT will work with a drop in bed liner that goes over the bed rails. However, installation for this particular application will vary slightly from the normal installation process. Small holes (approximately 2’x4”) would need to be cut in the bed liner where the clamps will be installed. This allows access to the inner lip of the truck bed. If the liner goes over the front bulkhead and creates a radius at the front, you may need to cut slits in the bed liner at the front of the bed to allow the rails to push further forward in the bed.

Q. Why is there a hole punched on the rear of the passenger side rail of the TruXedo Lo Pro, but no latch present?
A. The reason the rails are all punched the same way is to keep them uniform, for manufacturing efficiency and to reduce tooling costs. By doing this, we are able to keep manufacturing time down to get you your orders faster and also to keep the price of our products lower.
Q. Why is my cover holding water after the rain?

A. Water pooling on a fabric cover is normal. Our cross tubes are not arched, the covers are designed to sit flat, so some water will sit on the vinyl. Once you drive your truck, the water will move off the cover and return to its original shape. Make sure to re-tighten the hook and loop fasteners along the length of the bed.

Q. Where do I find the serial number on my Lo Pro?
A. Roll the cover to the cab of the truck, the serial number can be found on a silver sticker attached to the front aluminum bar, on the driver side.

Q. I own a Nissan Frontier and the application listing states that it does not include QT header guides what exactly does that mean?
A. The design of the Nissan Frontier is that the cab partially sits over top of the bulkhead. This minimizes space for the front header to sit on the bulkhead. In order for this kit to function properly, a cab weather seal is applied to the back of the bulkhead creating a larger contact surface for sealing. By adding this cab seal, it shortens the length of the truck bed and Lo Pro QT side rails. Since the rails are shortened on the Frontier kit, there is a possibility that the standard header guides would slide off the front of the side rails. We chose to bolt the front header to the side rails through an oblong hole, which still allows the tension control to be functional and eliminates the possibility of the front header from sliding off of the side rails.

A sleek, low-profile design is the signature of the Truxedo Lo Pro. Heavy-duty construction and the patented automatic tension control keeps the cover looking great in any weather condition.
